Q: QuestionDoes the unit come with cables.If so how long are they?If too long can they be shortened without voiding the warranty?

• A:Answer The Night Owl System comes with a 60 Ft cable for each camera. These are the shortest cables we currently offer for our Night Owl cameras. Q: Questionis this camra for inside and out door use and can i vewe recordings or see whats going on inside and out side from my cell phone

• A:Answer These Night Owl cameras are weatherproof, making them great for either outdoor or indoor use. When installing the cameras, do not place the camera where rain or snow will hit the lens directly nor should the camera be placed so that the sun or bright light shines directly into the lens. Your camera is weatherproof, but it will not work when submerged in water. Ensure that all power and video connections are not directly exposed to water and are protected from the elements. You can view your recordings remotely by installing the Night Owl X application your iPhone or Android smart device. Thank you for choosing Night Owl.

• A:Answer You may have up to 3 phones connected remotely to the DVR, this will allow you to remotely view your cameras. Q: QuestionAre the cameras powered by existing cable or does it need a separate power source? Do you have to run a power cable too?

• A:Answer Our Spotlight cameras are not compatible with all Night Owl systems, including your current system. Even though the cameras may be a fit resolution wise, your original system is not equipped with Spotlight capability. • A:Answer The cameras included with this product are not audio enabled. Not all Night Owl cameras are audio enabled. Please check the product's specifications. • A:Answer Yes, you can switch the recording mode from motion to continuous, to record 24/7. Keep in mind, this will eat through your available hard drive space at a much quicker rate. Once the hard drive becomes full, it is set to auto-overwrite old footage. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!

• A:Answer Installation is not included with your product purchase, or otherwise offered through Night Owl. There are many 3rd party companies that provide installation, but that would be at the owners expense. • A:Answer Yes, it does. As does any App. You will receive an alert when motion is detected by a camera and can then open that notification to view what occurred. When used as intended, it does not use a lot of data. Thank you!

• A:Answer Each camera in this kit comes with a 60 ft. BNC video/power cable. If you want to go further than that, we do not recommend exceeding 160 ft. using BNC cabling. Runs over 160 ft. should use a single Ethernet cable run. Ethernet cable can be used with these cameras, so long as you purchase one of our video baluns. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!
