A:Answer By default, most all Night Owl systems are set to record when motion is detected by one of the cameras. If a camera detects motion within the cameras field of view, a recording is generated and stored on your hard drive. If enabled, a push alert is sent to your Smart Device via our Free mobile App. The record settings for your device can be adjusted within the Main Menu, should you wish to alter the settings for one or more cameras.
