- Answer Yes, you can take up to 20 still photographs with the 1 AW1 Waterproof Mirrorless Camera during each HD movie recording; these images will have an aspect ratio of 3:2. Stills cannot be taken when recording slow-motion movies.

QuestionWaterproof LensIs the 11-27.5mm lens definitely waterproof? I know it says it online but when I went to Best Buy today to buy a camera case and memory card, the sales associate had no idea about the camera. He said I have to buy a different lens and this one was just a standard lens and was not waterproof. I'm just a little nervous about taking such an expensive camera on vacation. I want to make sure the lens that came in the box is the lens that I can take in water.

- Answer Lens that comes in box is water proof. The lens says "Water Proof" and "Shock Proof".

QuestionLens BlurryI used my Nikon - 1 AW1 inside the water and everything worked fine. Two weeks later, using it inside a mall, the lens became blurry. After some time it came back to normal, but a water proof camera can´t have its lens blurry.

- Answer Condensation may form inside the lens or monitor if exposed to rapid changes in temperature, such as occur when going into a warm room from a cold exterior. Condensation may also form if the battery chamber/memory card slot cover is opened or closed or lenses are attached or removed in a humid location. Such condensation will not cause malfunction or other damage. Please be sure to follow all precautions and maintenance instructions listed in the AW1 manual. Contact Nikon Support if you have further concerns.
