What power of binocular will give you the most distance and still be clear? I am looking at the 8x42 and the 10x42. null

Clarity for both scopes will be the same, but each will give you a different magnification and field of view. The Aculon A211 10x42 would magnify the image closer then the 8x42s. However the 10x42 would have a narrower field of view then then the 8x42.

Both are clear, it just depends on how steady you are holding them. If by hand, get the less powerful one. If you have a tripod you should get the most powerful one you can get.

I would say the 10x42. I brought the 8x42 for close up item and have distance.
