• This will work with any Nikon DX or FX-format DSLR camera with an F-bayonet mount.

• The D5200 does not contain a focus motor. It will require a lens that has a built-in autofocus motor. Nikon denotes these lenses with an AF-S - for our Silent Wave Autofocus Motor. The AF NIKKOR 50 f/1.8D does NOT have a focus motor built-in. You will still be able to use the lens on the camera, however, you would need to focus manually. The AF NIKKOR 50 f/.18D will not autofocus on the D5200.
