• The Nikon AF NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8D lens will work with your Nikon D3500 DX-format DSLR but will need to be manually focused, as this camera model doesn't have a built-in focus motor. For lenses that will autofocus with the D3500 camera, look into AF-P AF-S and newer E-type lenses.

• Yes, it will work on the d3500 but only on manual mode. It will not auto focus!
