does this lens work with d3300 null

The NIKKOR 50mm 1.8D lens is compatible with the D3300 but it will only focus manually. For lenses that autofocus on the D3300 look for NIKKOR lenses with the AF-S designation. AF-S indicates that the lens is equipped with Nikon's Silent Wave Autofocus Motor.

will not autofocus with any 3xxx or 5xxx nikons because they don't have an internal focus motor and it is manual lens with no internal motor for focusing
