When using the AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED Lens on the D3300 Digital SLR Camera, you will need to make sure you have Firmware Version 1.01 or later. The restriction is that there is No "Manual Focus Ring in AF Mode" option in the Settings Menu.
