Will 5his lens fit a D7000 null

According to Nikon, the answer is No. You have to have a camera that supports AF-P.

The Nikon D7000 is not compatible with the AF-P NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6E ED VR lens, and has limited or no compatibility with other AF-P type lenses.
