“Would this be a good lens to replace the 18-55 kit lens? I'm looking for a lens with a bigger zoom but not too big as far as a distance of 200mm.”

• The 105mm range of this lens is best suited for portrait type shooting in close proximity or in a studio setting. Not well suited for zoom shots like sports or nature.

• Yes - it's great for close-ups and short wide-angle shots.
