Yes, at $699 it is an extremely efficient and powerful zoom lens with great autofocus. Not big, not bulky it will serve all your needs. Can't go wrong. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!

The 18-300 is a variable aperture lens and you should be aware, at 300mm the "fastest" aperture you will be able to obtain is 6.3. This will be fine in daylight shooting. Shooting in lower light situations you would need to make sure that you boost your ISO setting to increase shutter speed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depends on the quality you'd like. This lens is a fairly good lens for outdoor wildlife shots. It does have it's problems with such a zoom factor, especially at the wide angle and max zoom. It takes very nice pictures from about 75mm to 200mm.
