When you get to the D610 and up to D810, then since they are whole frame cameras, you have to go with the FX lens so as not to get vignetting. However, some people still go with DX. Hope this helps..

Some have been so good that I've considered having them made into portraits for my wall. When showing them to others over the t.v. people are impressed with the quality and dimension the picture has.
