• The Nikon 200-500 F5.6 is 11 5/8 inches long from lens cap to lens cap. With the hood on the lens is 14 3/4 inches long.

• Cap to cap locked at 200mm its 11 1/2" and 14 1/2" zoomed out to 500mm, both dimensions are with hood inverted in the storage position. Hope this helps!
