This lens will fit on your camera, but it will have an effective viewing angle of a 30MM lens on your camera. If you are looking for a wide angle, you should look for a DX lens.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it does. I've used this lens on my d3200 & d750.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No it’s not a DX lens
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes this will work however on a crop sensor camera the field of view will be 30mm (1.5 crop value) if 30mm is wide enough go for it in case you plan on going full frame in the future.....other wise I would look for a high quality zoom designed for crop sensors. Also the 16-35 F4 although full frame also will give you 24mm - 50 ish
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This lens is an FX (full frame) lens. It will work on a DX (crop frame) format camera like the D5500 but the crop factor will give you a 30mm equivelant field of view, so not very wide in terms of what is available out there. Any DX or FX lens you put on your D5500 just multiply the focal length by 1.5 to know what the full frame equivelant is. The Nikon 10-24mm f3.5-4.5 DX is the cheapest wide angle DX at $899.99. Currently has a $100 rebate on it to bring it down to $799.99. This lens acts like a 15-36mm would on a FX body. 15-24mm is what I consider a “wide angles” but others may say differently. With any lens you can’t have wide, great in low light, and cheap. You have to pick 2 of the 3 options.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, but it will be a 30mm on a crop sensor DX
