I don't live near your area, so I don't know what they have locally, but these two items are usually online only. The camera SHOULD be made in Japan, but with the recent disasters, Nikon has used Thailand for a lot of their manufacturing. My copy of the 24-120 f4 VR is made in Thailand. keep in mind it makes no difference where the lens is made, because Nikon uses the exact same quality standards for manufacturing no matter what country they're made in. Nikon will not put their name on an inferior product that doesn't meet the same standards that they have in Japan.
