Q: QuestionIs this a true 24 mm field of view? Do photos represent 24 mm?
Asked by SteadyEddie.
- A:Answer The AF-S NIKKOR 24-85mm lens, when used on a camera that has a full frame sensor, is 24mm. When used on a cropped sensor, it would be 38mm. Nikon denotes a full frame sensor as an FX-type body and the cropped sensor, as a DX-type body.

Q: QuestionIs this a good walk around every day lens? Full Frame lenses are very expensive and this might be the only one that I can afford; unless I go to the Canon 7D M11 APS-C sensor.
Asked by Rush.
- A:Answer This is an excellent all around lens, 24mm is a substantial wide angle and 85mm zooms enough for portraits and other shots. It’s not too fast at 85mm, but for outdoors it’s great.
