Your camera is a DX so I would choose a DX lens the 18-300 .. I believe the 18-300 is also lighter I believe because it’s more plastic .. I chose the 28-300 for a full frame camera not that it’s exclusive to it .. I have an 18-300 on my d7100 and it’s a great lens it is a bit more if memory serves me right .. so if $$ is the object then look at Tamron as well .. but if you have narrowed down to both these specific lenses then get the 18-300
