If the camera is Nikon F mount it will attach. VR is in the lens not the camera so it should work fine. Might be time to upgrade the cam too. :)

yeah. my dad just got a D7000 and gave me his 200 and let me use this lens. its flawless

Sure, the D200 is fully compatible with any Nikon AF or AF-S lens, including this 70-200 f2.8.
