Yes. It will work. But will give you a longer focal length. All FX lens on a DX body will get a 4/3 multiple.

You'll want to keep in mind that this lens is an FX format lens while the D7000 is a DX format camera. When an FX lens is mounted onto a DX camera, the image is magnified by about 1.5x.
