This is THE PORTRAIT LENS to have, an 85mm (a good one) should be in every photographers bag - HOWEVER, although the most expensive camera in the world won’t substitute for the person operating it, I would recommend putting a little more money into a better body before throwing the $500 toward a lens. The 3200 is a great starter piece, but I’m pretty sure that body alone is less money than this lens.. just my two cents.
