A teleconverter is basically a magnifying lens used between the camera body and the existing lens. Since it has an F mount it can be attach to your camera. Not all lenses can be used with a teleconverter. In general wide angle lenses or wide angle zoom lenses cannot be used. Also, lenses with relatively slow maximum apertures (slower than f2.8) cannot be used with teleconverters.
