A:Answer The Nikon TC-17EII AF-S teleconverter (2151) can be used with the AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/4G ED VR Lens (2202), however the number of DSLRs that support autofocus with this combination is limited. Adding the TC-17EII to this lens reduces the amount of light transmitted through to the camera's sensor to the degree that some cameras will not be able to autofocus. Autofocus is available only with cameras that offer f/8 support. These include the D5, D500, D4/D4S, Df, D850, D810/D810A, D800/D800E, D750, D600/D610, D7100, D7200 and D7500. When this combination is used with other DSLRs only manual focus is available. For further assistance please contact Nikon Support at 1-800-NikonUS.
