“Concerning the 4K video recording. Will the 4k file play on all devices 720/1080p currently play? I have a 4k TV. Will I see an improved, higher def video clip? Reason I ask is the AV Resolution indicates only one resolution...ie 3840 x 2160. Thank you”

The camera can create movies with resolutions up to 2160/30p. If you have 4k source material to watch in that resolution, you should see an improved video. If you don't have a 4K source video, the 4k TV can still make your movies look better since 4k televisions use some type of upconverter to display 1080p and lower resolution video.
