Q: QuestionWill the COOLPIX B 500 work with windows 10 on my computer (download)? How many photographs will it store before it needs to be downloaded? Thans

Asked 8 years ago by nohuskr.

This question was asked about the related product: Nikon - COOLPIX B500 16.0-Megapixel Digital Camera - Plum

• A:Answer I have Windows 10 & no issues, super easy set up. You need to use a SD Card or Micro SD card to store the images. ( it will say which on the box) so it really depends on if you do a lot of videos or just images and the size card you get. The screen has a indicator as to how many more you can take but if you are worried you can always just carry an extra one in the case.

Q: Questionis this camera a DSLR? im not camera savvy and I need a camera for mt photography class thats a DSLR camera

Asked 8 years ago by DSLR.

• A:Answer No, the COOLPIX B500 is a compact digital camera. Product names for Nikon DSLRs start with the letter D, like D5600 or D850. If you are just starting out take a look at the D3400, which is our entry-level DSLR and which is sold in kits with one or more lenses. Other DSLRs may be sold without a lens (body only) so if you don't have access to any NIKKOR lenses be sure to look for kits or bundles that include lenses.

Q: Questioncan you add a tripod and an external microphone to the camera? i want to make a youtube channel.

Asked 8 years ago by Person.

• A:Answer The Nikon COOLPIX B500 digital camera does not have a mic jack, so microphone accessories cannot be attached to it. This camera has a standard ¼ inch (ISO 1222) tripod socket for use with any standard tripod that can hold the weight of the camera, which is about 19.1 oz. or 542 grams (with battery and memory card inserted).

Q: QuestionWould this be good for taking photos at a doggy daycare?

Asked 9 years ago by Don.

• A:Answer The COOLPIX B500 has a specific Pet Portrait Auto release mode. When you have the camera set for this mode - the camera - when it detects a dog or cats face, it will automatically release the camera's shutter. It's a specific SCENE MODE in the camera called Pet Portrait. Since we all know pets can be spontaneous in their movement, if you set the camera, while in this mode, to continuous shooting, it will take 3 images continuously, once it detects the pets face.
