The SnapBridge application allows you to have a constant connection between your Nikon camera and a compatible smart device, so each shot you take automatically appears on your smart device. This is done by using Bluetooth, a minimal energy use technology. Besides built-in Bluetooth, the Nikon COOLPIX B700 digital camera has built-in Wi-Fi, which allows you to remotely control the camera through a connected smart device that is using the SnapBridge app. Pairing the camera and your compatible smartphone is easy and can be done in a couple of steps. All of the wifi enabled cameras require you to use the app designed for that camera to transfer the photos wirelessly. Previously I had a Sony CyberShot which uses the PlayMemories app - that app is so easy and effortless to setup and use. The SnapBridge app is NOT easy to use. I was able to get my phone connected the first time (after over an hour of effort), but after that I cannot get it to work. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the SnapBridge app and it still won't work. Now I have to go into the store (45 mins away) to meet with Geek Squad. If they cannot resolve the issue, I'll be returning this camera and replacing it with the Sony DSC-HX400 instead.
