• It is possible to use the manual focus at any point. However, the manual focus is not really manual focus. What I mean is there is no focus ring, no fine adjustment, just you zooming in or out.

• Yes, it is possible to focus manually when the zoom is at the maximum. Peaking options are also available when in MF mode on the Nikon COOLPIX P900 digital camera.
