The image size and quality of the image can be set before taking a picture with the Nikon COOLPIX S3700 digital camera. Any changes you make would affect the megapixels the actual image has. To change your image size and quality turn on the camera and press the "Menu" button. Highlight "Image mode" in the shooting menu and then "OK". Highlight the image size of your choice and then "OK".
