“Battery Charging I just purchased the Nikon S7000 and I love it. Alot easier to operate than I thought. My question is, should I recharge the battery when it says battery exausted or charge it when I see the first flashing yellow light?”

Battery can be charged when exhausted or when the yellow flashing light comes on, however charging a fully charged battery could cause damage to the battery. See the Reference Manual for more details.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.As soon as you see the battery level indicate that the battery is low, if possible, you should charge the battery. It is always recommended to have one single fully charged battery to avoid missing any vital shots!

I purchase a spare battery with any camera to ensure that I always a camera that is ready to use. You can also purchase an external charger, if you like.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Today's batteries do not have a "memory" like older batteries. It doesn't make any difference when you recharge it. However, right or wrong, I like to pretty much fully discharge before charging.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I depend on my S7000 as a backup so I recharge it every night after I'm done for the day. The battery is small and does not have a large capacity. If you wait until it tells you to recharge, you will miss some shots due to no power.
