“I have an old Nikon CoolPix 4300. I think I know the answers, but, are the batteries usable in the S7000? The memory cards? The externals (USB connection, the battery charger, etc.) compatible? We are 100 miles from a Store so I can't walk in and ask.”

• One correction - the COOLPIX 4300 used Compact Flash-type memory cards. The COOLPIX S7000 uses SD-type memory cards.

• No, you can not use the same batteries. You can however use the same external memory card.
