can i use 2 AAbatteries? I have a coolpix L22, which I love, but would like to upgrade. The L22 can take 2 AA batteries instead of the lithium-ion battery. Can the S7000 take regular AA batteries also?

no s7000 comes with lithium-ion batt , it takes about 110 photos if you think you will take more then that in a day it is best to buy an extra batt.

The COOLPIX S7000 uses a Nikon EN-EL19 rechargeable Li-ion battery that is charged with the EH-71P Charging AC Adapter - both are included with the camera. The S7000 cannot use AA batteries. For a Nikon compact digital camera that uses AA batteries consider the COOLPIX L32 or the COOLPIX L840.
