“can you take this camera straight underwater with no other accesories? i have never bought a camera”

• The COOLPIX W300 has the capacity to shoot images underwater up to a depth of 30 m (100 ft.) for up to 60 minutes. No additional accessories are required to use the W300 underwater. • Yes you can, but I suggest you purchase a flotation device to attach to camera or strap. I use the 1 I had for the GoPro I replaced with this Nikon. The Nikon Is much better easier to use in my opinion for snorkeling .
