This camera does come with a flash, as all DLSR's do. But it's just like having an iPhone coming with a flash, they all do. When you get further into photography, you will find that you may need to buy an individual flash depending on how you shoot. It is a good camera for a first time owner but I believe that if you are going to make an investment, the upgraded DLSR's are also well.
