No. The flash on the Nikon D3400 DSLR camera cannot be used when recording movies and is not meant to be used a light source for the movie recording feature. For more light control in your movie recordings try a Nikon LD-1000 LED Movie Light or a Nikon SB-500 AF Speedlight.
