Please try again later.The Nikon D3400 DSLR camera has a Nikon F bayonet mount that is fully compatible with Nikon AF-S type lenses; if your older lenses are this type they will work without restriction on this camera. This camera body is also completely compatible with the new AF-P and E-type lenses. Nikon AI and AF-type lenses can also be used but must be focused manually, as the Nikon D3400 camera does not have a built-in focus motor, and may have additional limitations.
