• It may, depending on the type of mount you have. I have used lenses from my earlier F2 and FE but it probably won't accommodate any of the automatic features. You should rely on the knowledge of your photo sales person. I took one of my lenses to the store to see how it would work but that was from a D80 so most of the automatic features were compatible.

• I have a 35mm prime lens that I used with a D40, works perfectly fine with the D3500.
