works fine with SD cards - I shot several sporting events with high speed continuous (cH) to JPEG no problems. I think if you plan to shoot RAW with 300 continuous frames then you need the XQD card.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The D500 has two memory card slots. One for XQD and the other is for SD-type memory cards. It is not necessary to fill both slots to use the camera. You can use the camera with SD-type memory cards. XQD cards are, in general, faster at writing files to the camera which is their main advantage.
