The Nikon D3400 and Nikon D5300 cameras have quite a number of different functions, options and menus. The Nikon D3400 has a wider variety of playback, scene/special effects modes and focus modes than the Nikon D5300 does and has SnapBridge technology so you can connect to a compatible smart device running the SnapBridge app to share your images instantly. The Nikon D5300, in comparison, has more autofocus points than the Nikon D3400, white balance bracketing and built-in Wi-Fi and GPS options. Wi-Fi allows the D5300 to connect with any compatible smart device running the Wireless Mobile Utility (WMU) application.
