• Yes I'm able to transfer a picture right away to my phone simply by going to the Google play store and down load the free wireless mobile utility app . It only takes about five or ten minutes to connect the camera to the phone and the rest is history

• Yes, there's a mobile app called Nikon Mobile Utility that allows transfer directly to a phone. I can't recall if it's Bluetooth, wireless or NFC tho.
