“Battery charge time Good Afternoon, I purchased a Nikon D5500 and received it yesterday. I have owned previous SLR's. I am wondering how long it takes the battery to fully charge? I have had it on for at least 18 hours and it has not lit up green. It is still orange.”

The light on the MH-24 battery charger will not change color when the battery is fully charged. The light will flash when charging, and stop flashing but remain lit when charging is completed. If the orange light on your charger is not flashing that means that the battery is charged. An exhausted battery takes about 2 hours to charge.
