Mine was new. You should be able to tell by the way it is packed. I doubt anyone would be able to rewrap the items the way the factory does. I think you could tell if it was repackaged. As far as a refurbished unit goes ther would be signs of wear or surface scratches. I trust Best Buy. Not sure if I would feel confident buying this kind of item off the internet. More likely to get returned or refurb unit on line.
