When shooting long distance, the aperture must be smaller. Thus less light will enter through the lens. Still frame is one question depending on the light. Video will not be as clear. It all depends on the amount of light on stage. It may help if you have a polarized lens on, to remove it for indoor shots. Still use a skylight filter to protect your lens. Hope this help you.
