Both of the lenses in this kit are compatible with the D810 and the D850. AF-P lenses are fully compatible with the D850. These AF-P lenses are compatible with the D810 but the Vibration Reduction (VR) cannot be disabled. In addition, the focus ring on these lenses cannot be disabled when using the autofocus mode on the D810. It's also important to note that both of the lenses in this kit are DX format lenses and therefore optimized for use on DSLRs with the smaller DX sensor. A DX lens does not transmit enough light to fill the entire FX sensor. Because of this the D810 and D850 will automatically will switch over to DX Crop Mode. In DX crop mode the D810’s largest available Image Size is reduced to 4800x3200 (approx. 15.3MP). In DX crop mode the D850’s largest available Image Size is reduced to 5408x3600 (approx. 19.5MP).

I have another question about this lens Specifically for the D850.. does the display/view finder show that the photo size will be? or will the picture be cropped? For example, I'm taking a portrait of a person from Head to Toe.. and have the whole body in my viewfinder.. will the photo be the same.. or will it be cropped to something like the Shoulder to the Knees.
