While both these cameras are completely different they both offer great options for shooting fast action of all kinds. Most of the difference between these two cameras are the options it it has to capture movement and the lens optics offered for each. If you are looking for more reach, the zoom that the Nikon COOLPIX P900 offers is unparalleled. At it's furthest distance the P900's digital zoom offers up to 4x for an angle of view equivalent to that of approximately 8,000mm lens in 35mm [135] format; this is a much further reach than the Nikon AF-P 70-300mm listed here can offer for zoom. However, the Nikon D5600 camera offers more in the way of modes and options for controlling speed and aperture than the P900 camera and is compatible with a wide range of amazing Nikon lenses, some of which have super zoom capabilities.
