“Hi, I have a new D7200 Nikon camera because my D90 Nikon doesn't takes sharp pictures. I have a 18-270 mm lens and wonder if it is compatible with the D7200. It fits and it takes picture.Am I ruining my D7200? Is there a macro setting? Thank you Heidi”

The Nikon D7200 is fully compatible with the following type of Nikkor lenses: AI, AF, AF-S and newer E-types. It also has a limited compatibility with Nikkor AF-P type lenses. This camera model doesn't have a setting for macro so if you're interested in macro photography you might want to look into a dedicated micro lens such as the Nikon AF-S DX Micro-NIKKOR 40mm f/2.8G lens or the Nikon AF-S Micro Nikkor 60mm f/2.8G ED lens. Micro Nikkor lenses will allow you to get stunningly sharp close-up and macro images up to life-size (1:1 reproduction ratio) and are great for other types of photography too.
