“Can anyone tell me if this grip really does not come with the battery holders? Every other major retailer including Amazon includes the battery trays with the grip for this price... Confused whether or not I will have to buy the battery trays separately.”

A brand new Nikon MB-D15 Multi Battery Power Pack comes with the following in the box: The MB-D15, the MS-D14EN holder (battery tray for Nikon EN-EL15 Rechargeable Li-ion battery), MS-D14 holder (battery tray for 6 AA batteries), holder case, contact cap and User's Manual.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Jordan, if you get a new in the box version, it comes with two trays. One holds your second EnEl15, the other holds AA size batteries for back up. Honestly, having two fully charged ENEL15 (Nikon brand there is a big difference) batts in your camera should be way more than you will need for any shooting session.
