“Would this Monarch 5 8x42 function well for stargazing?”

• They should work well for stargazing. They have a wide field of view, and very good light collection. The image has exceptional clarity.

• Perfect for Birdwatching! I purchased my Nikon Monarch 8x42 for birdwatching and it is amazing for that purpose--lightweight, great detail and very easy to adjust. I don't think it would work very well for stargazing because I have noticed it is difficult to see things in detail as it gets dark.
