A:AnswerThe SB 700 is compatible with the D3200. The D3200 has a standard hot shoe. The D3200 does not have a COMMANDER mode on it to use the flash wirelessly. If you want to do that you need to purchase the SU-800 or an additional speed light with commander mode. If wireless flash has not interest to you at all, the SB700 would be compatible with the D3200. You might want to, in addition, check out the the SB500. Great flash with a great constant light source LED for adding light, when needed, while taking movies!
