No, you cannot preset the timer to automatically start. If you plan to use it as a slow cooker it will start the cooking process as soon as the timer (for length of cooking time) is set. It is a great cooking system though. I have had mine for a few years now. Bought my son his last Christmas and my daughter said it is the only thing she really wants this year. I like that you can brown in it and then turn it to the slow cooker setting. Clean up is a breeze as well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That is the one feature that is missing. There is no automatic start, but there is a feature that shifts to "warm" when the cooking time is done.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, it can not be. To do that you would need to plug it into a lamp timer and set that timer to start when you wanted to the cooker to turn on.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, it doesn't have a delay start setting, but the features it does have make it VERY handy. I enjoy being able to switch the setting from the "stove top" feature to the more traditional "crockpot" settings. For example, browning meat in the cooker to make a sauce. Once that is done, I turn the knob to whichever crockpot setting I need, usually "low" so I can let it cook for hours, pour in my sauce and seasonings, stir, put the lid on it and I'm done until I am ready for it. You can also remove the insert and put it on a trivet, the same as a roasting pan. I also like the design of the edge of the insert because it helps to prevent spills getting into the heating part of it. Best wishes
