It depends on how you prepare your food. I don't clean it every time.

Please try again later.If I am cooking multiple different items, I won't clean when being used on the same meal, unless cheese melts all over the place or something like that. Now Even between meals I sometimes won't do a full cleaning depending on what I make. I will rinse out after every use only because crumbs and other small particles will sit under the crisper and I don't want bugs. But because the nonstick surface is so good, I just rinse with cold water for a few seconds and wipe out with a paper towel and put back in.

With this being said, you do not need to clean it between cooking different items for one meal; however, you may want to wipe it out. Please be careful, it will be hot.
