It brews hot coffee as well as cold brew coffee. If you do a cold brew it makes it to where it isn't watered down by being over ice and doesn't turn on the warming plate. If you do a regular brew it is hot and turns on the warming plate to keep it hot. It has multiples options for brewing and sizes. I hope this helps!
